I have a watch that was bought in the late 1960's. It is 14Kt white gold made by Austin Jewels and it is a wind up watch and has 3 diamonds on each side. I am wondering if this watch is worth anything even though the original band was replaced with a stainless steel band over 30 years ago? Also if I changed the band to a white gold band, would that devalue the watch?

I have a watch. It is a railroad type watch w/ a face like that standard railroad watch used from 1880 thru 1890's.
On the face it reads "H.P. HOBBS"
It includes a chain w/ a round piece stamped 1892
The outside main lid is stamped ornately, the stem shank is stamped ornately. Inside w/ back opened most of the pieces look gold. The case is gold. Inscribed on the inside "DeMoines, Iowa
H.P. Hobbs. Patent Union, 712355
adjusted, pat. & numbers. The inside of the back lid is engraved w/ geometric pattern of swirls.
please give opinion and price. Thanks

Please help, I recently purchased some jewelry at an action and found a watch in the package. This watch sparked a lot of interest since it had Hebrew charaters for the numbers. I looked on the internet for the company and found, so far no information. The name on the watch is "SIBEL". If anyone can offer any information on the history of this Watch I would be most appricative. If you have any question please email me at ourcastle@earthlink.net

these lights have a lot of history for anyone collecting vintage railroad memorabilia- they came from a 1915 vintage electric interurban railway passenger car

I have 2 watches in question.
1 I bought around 1971 new from a dealer. It is a hamilton 992b pocket watch. Is it 1 ot the watches made from left over parts or a production watch. Number (4c145601) stainless steel case. The other I think is a reproduction. It has some paperwork that says hamilton 992 pocket watch and is in a wooden gift box. On the inside back are is star wc. co and a number (310714) and on the movement is a number (ha 1676)
Any information is greately appreciated.
Thank You

I have a 17 jewel Emerson ladies watch that is 14K gold, and has four diamonds (probably 1K total). Two diamonds are on either side of the watch face. The watch runs slow, but it does work. Can anyone tell me what this watch might be worth, or where I could get further information about it?

Hey folks! There is a brand new watch forum at top-watch-sites.com. Don't want to take away from the Hamilton community that is growing here but if you want to check out another group online go check out that site. It is brand new. You can not only participate in the forums but also write articles and share watch images with the group. Pretty cool!

I have a Paul Monet women's watch, very dainty, 18K, three diamonds at each band attachment site, then on the face of the watch there is a border of tiny diamonds, I think there are 21. There is a Black Velvet box, lined in tan satin on top with the script, "Paul Monet," lined in tan velvet on the bottom. I would like to know some history and/or value on this item.
